CCS students and faculty express their satisfaction with a job well done!
For the second year in a row, students and faculty of CCS joined in the efforts to clean up Myrtle Beach State Park on Saturday, September 18th. Students mindfully combed the dunes and beach looking for any litter or debris they could remove.
After much work, the students enjoyed a hamburger cookout in a shady picnic area, then hit the beach for games and fun. Students said they enjoyed being a part of the conservation efforts and had even more fun this year than last!
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to celebrate the goodness of God to us individually and as a school. K3-K4 enjoyed a Thanksgiving Feast as Indians, as 1st – 12th took part in our special Thanksgiving Chapel service. In this service, students took time to publically thank God for His goodness.
Our Serve-a-thon was a HUGE success. CCS students took the community by storm. From cleaning dog cages at the Humane Society to delivering meals to shut-ins with Meals on Wheels, students took part in all sorts of community service. K3-2nd Worked on campus raking leaves, planting flowers, and speading mulch. 3rd-4th Travelled to a retirement home and a nursing home to minister to the elderly. 5th-6th Took fruit baskets to the Surfside Fire and Police departments to express our gratitude. 7th-12th Helped at Habitat for Humanity, Myrtle Beach Helping Hand, Meals on Wheels, Myrtle Beach Humane Society, and South Strand Helping Hand.
For the third year in a row, CCS high school students took part in the South Carolina Beach/River Sweep. From soda cans to an old rusty barrell, students and teachers cleaned up Myrtle Beach State Park. “Making Christ Known” is part of our theme for the year and serving in our community in this way is one way in which we seek to accomplish that goal.
One of the highlights of the year so far was our Spiritual Emphasis trips to the Anchorage Christian Camp (Junior High) and the Wilds Christian Camp(Senior High). During these days students enjoyed many different activities as well as concentrated times of Bible teaching. Through these trips we seek to accomplish our goal of “Knowing Christ and Making Him Known.”
Our Elementary Classes took time to honor our Grandparents. Students read essays on “Why My Grandparents are the Best”, and sang songs to honor our Grandparents. A special lunch was provided for Grandparents. It was a blessing to see how many Gradparents and Great Grandparents came to this special day. Grandparents, thank you so much for your support!

Field Day 2011 As always Field Day was a big hit. A special thank you to Mr. Weeks for coming out. Field Day just wouldn’t be the same with out Mr. Weeks.
Spring Program: The Lone Stranger With high school students as the actors and the elementary students as the choir, CCS’s spring production of The Lone Stranger was a wonderful experience for all. The theme of “Be Strong In the Lord” provided a wonderful opportunity for students to build character through the use of music and drama.
